How did you develop your writing?
I write a lot, read a lot, and study technique.

Where do you get your inspiration from?
My inspiration comes from life around me.

Do you find it hard to share your work?
ROFL. No. I’m not the shy type.

Do you plan to publish more books?
I plan to publish many more books!

What else do you do to make money, other than write?
It is rare today for writers to be full time…

What other jobs have you had in your life?
I’ve been a caterer, administrative assistant, limo driver, chef…to name a few.

If you could study any subject at university what would you pick?
Literature—of course!

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
The Florida Keys

How do you write – lap top, pen, paper, in bed, at a desk?
I write primarily on my laptop, but I make many notes by hand.

Where do you get support from? Do you have friends in the industry?
I’m very fortunate to have some wonderful friends in the industry. There’s also my daughter, who is very proud of me, my brother, and my two critique partners Evan Trevane and Kimberly Comeau. They all keep me going.

How much sleep do you need to be your best?
Seven hours seems to be the magic number for me.

Every writer has their own idea of what a successful career in writing is, what does success in writing look like to you?
That’s easy! Being able to write full time.
