My readers. Honestly. I know every author does that… but without them, where am I? From the second I started Brothers of Rock, the readers took it and ran with it. It was supposed to be five books and nothing more. BUT now it’s going to 10 books and maybe more! Because of the readers, I brought the western romance series to life. It’s just so heart warming and filling. J
Every writer has their own idea of what a successful career in writing is, what does success in writing look like to you?
Stephen King (I believe) once said something along the lines of writing something, selling it, the check clearing, and paying a bill with it… that makes you successful. I agree. But success is personal. For some, it’s just starting and finishing a story. For me, I feel successful because I’ve been able to gain readers, keep their attention, and interact with them.
Tell us about your new book? What’s it about and why did you write it?
Buried Notes follows the bassist from rock band, Chasing Cross. He’s been hiding a secret for a long time… he’s married. After a wild night with a woman he fell head over heels for, he ended up marrying her. But his band was on the verge of breaking big so they decided to keep it secret. Now it’s years later and Chris gets divorces papers… but he can’t sign them. He wants to find his wife – Becky – and see who she’s with and why she wants a divorce from him. I loved writing this book because it’s the fourth book in the Chasing Cross books and it goes back in time to see Chasing Cross when they were younger.
When you are not writing, how do you like to relax?
I read!
Do you have any tips on how writers can relax?
Walk away from everything. No social media. No writing. Go for a long walk and enjoy fresh air. J
Finally exposing a secret to his band after years of hiding, Chasing Cross bassist, Chris, confesses that some years ago, during a wild night, he ended up marrying someone. It was supposed to be a no-big-deal kind of thing, with a stipulation… if one of them fell in love or wanted to get married to someone else, they would divorce.

Becky loses her mother to breast cancer and realizes that life sometimes really is too short. She finds the ring she received from a sexy rockstar the night she secretly married him. The memory should have been fun, but after being pushed into a corner to stay married while that rockstar’s band took off, Becky can’t do it anymore.

She sends divorce papers and waits… and waits… and weeks after sending the papers, she wonders what’s taking so long…

In a journey that forces Chris to step back in time to find his future, he knows he needs to find Becky – his wife. He isn’t sure what he’ll find, but he knows he wants the truth.
